After Hours by Mark Hjorthoy

This collection of patches allows you to explore the subtle spaces between notes. Constantly changing and almost tense, the sounds gently bend and pull, and sometimes degrade. Blending the guitar to synth sounds is controlled by your guitars' volume control. Bringing the guitar in and out creates alternating definition to the soundscapes. Perfect for looping.

Live Set

1BoardingStarting with the synth only, gives a lonely slowly bending pad, with a lot of delay. Bring the guitar volume to about 8 and the you can almost hear the empty airport.
2SwimmingThe GK pickup sound is pitched down, heavily delayed, with a prominent tremolo. Blending the guitar gives it more attack and definition.
3DesertsMade for the rear pickup guitar blend and a slow picking style, let the notes ring and cry.
4HarmoniousA 70s sounding synth along with a clean guitar in sevenths create tone combinations that bring you back to a better time.
5MountainsAn analogue synth pad slowly moving under a slightly chorused clean sound, soaked in reverb and delay. Start with the GK pickup and play with your attack to make the pad sweep more.
6InnocentPretty, and perfect for looping pedals. Start with the "drunken GK" and loop your chords, then bring in the slightly weeping guitar.
7CircuitBRKa very badly maintained synth bounces around tunings, under a mostly lifeless clean sound.
8Life Is UnfairControl the sweep of the synth with your attack. Mildly Uni-Ved clean sound keeps the tone focused.
9PalatialGothic inspired with a slow pulse. Gets very nasal on a rear single coil, kinda wicked.
10LongingWorn out films again and echoing to one side, this is what "sad" must sound like. Long slow picked notes fill a soundscape beautifully.
