POP Synth Bass Collection by Tamas Barabas

In this collection of patches, Tamas has created some synth bass sounds for some famous tracks from the pop, R&B and hip-hop era.Note:Make sure you stomp on the CTL 1 pedal for each patch as they offer wide variations to the sounds.

Tamas Barabas --Tamas Barabas was born in 1972, Hungary. TB is a versatile session musician, bassist, pro sound engineer, composer, producer and arranger. He played bass track for several albums representing a broad array of musical genres from pop to jazz. His fabulous bass guitar sound and composition skills crafted the sound of the band Djabe. They have toured around the World, totaling 44 countries and played at the most important jazz/world music festivals. Besides his musical carrier, TB is an acclaimed sound engineer in Hungary. Djabe's 'Sheafs Are Dancing' album is highly-respected by top sound engineers at Abbey Road Studios, where the DVD-Audio disc was authored. He has been a LoopStation fanatic ever since the RC-20 debut in 2001, and continues to blow away the audience again and again with his loops. 1THE BEAT INTROThis is a fat synth bass sound, which was typical in the 80s, using two SQR and one SINUS waveform. You can hear an LFO modulated filter also in the sound.

2THE BEAT Low filtered synth bass sound with slight envelope filtering. A +1 octave, overdirven TRI synth is blended into the normal bass sound.

3TOP ON BASS SYNTHJuicy synth bass sound for R&B lovers. A -1 Oct SQR waveform is added to the direct bass sound, plus you can turn on a SAW synth with the CTL 1 pedal.

4HIP HORSE BASSHeavily filtered sub bass sound for Hip-Hop. SIN waveform added to the direct bass sound, with extreme cut of the high frequency range.You can turn a TRI OCT-1 wave ON and the direct bass OFF with CTL1.

5TOWN BASSDirty fat sound with nice low-mid frequency range for a typical Motown bass sound. TRI waveform with either the direct bass or another TRI wave depending on CTL1 position.

6JEANS BASSLowpass filtered SIN wave plus direct bass with PKG filter, where you can add a distorted SAW wave sound with the CTL1 pedal.

7RAINY BASSA Detuned SAW plus a -1 Oct SQR wave, where an additional SIN waveform gives the real punch to the sound.

8HUMAN ARP BASSYou can turn on a SQR and a TRI wave lead thru the step sequencer as a kind of arpeggiator with the CTL1 pedal.
